Lexipedia

It gives a clear definition of the word and shows connections to related words.
To learn the meanings of words and understand how they are related to other known, and unknown words. Lexipedia is similar to Snappy Words and Visuwords, but seems more user friendly and better for younger students.
I didn't run into any issues with this tool.

Snappy Words

It helps you find the meanings of words and draw connections to associated words.

This tool can be used to show students your selected vocab word being used in a variety of ways, and in ways that they might be able to relate to.

Visuwords

This tool is pretty much exactly like Snappy Words. - It helps you find the meanings of words and draw connections to associated words.

It may be a bit difficult for younger students to understand the correlations.
3

VocabGrabber

It analyzes text and "grabs" the most useful vocab words.
You can pull out vocab words based on the various subject areas.
It seems to omit some words that you'd like to focus on, or doesn't highlight them as much as you'd expect.
3

Webster's Visual Dictionary

It allows you to type in a vocab word and will show a visual example of the word.
You can help students understand multiple meanings of the same word, with a visual representation.
Many of the pictures have nothing to do with the word, or don't show the use of the word that is needed.

Wordia

Wordsift

This site sifts through long text and pulls out the more important/frequently used words.
You can help students break down longer/harder to read text and help them to better understand important words.
This is similar to Wordle, except that you can click on the words to see how they are connected to other words.
